INSTALLING THE PRINTER
The Windows® operating system supports
the majority of printers available on the
market.
Warning!
Some latest-generation printers may con-
flict (when two or more printers are in-
stalled on the same Personal Computer).
The manufacturer has pre-installed one
printer model; if the printer supplied is of
this model, it will be ready for use once the
connection has been made.
If the printer is of a different model, it must
be installed, following the instructions pro-
vided in the installation and set-up manual
provided with the printer. To avoid prob-
lems when using printers not supplied by
the manufacturer, it is best to uninstall all
printer models previously installed before
installing a new model. The aligner has
been programmed to work together with
an 80-column A4 colour printer.
CAUTION
During installation the aligner must be
turned off.
• Open the compartment at the front of the
cabinet and place the printer in it.
• Connect the data cable (USB) to the
printer (end with square-section connec-
tor).
• Pass the monitor power supply cable
through one of the two slots on the PC com-
partment shelf so that it can be connected to
one of the Shuko sockets available.
• Connect the printer data cable (USB ca-
ble) to a connector located behind the PC
(USB port) as shown in figure 2.
• Make the power supply cables and print-
er data cables pass on the same side, to
secure the cables to the adjacent wall,
with the clamps and supports provided.

THE RADIO UNITS
Fix the Hard Lock device onto the central
part of the back of the cabinet, with the
holes provided.
Proceed as follows to ensure optimum
radio communication
between the measuring sensors and the
central unit.
Installation:
• Fix the Hard Lock device on the cabi-
net, referring to the diagrams for posi-
tioning the radio on the central unit (Fig.
6 - 7 - 8).
CAUTION
If none of the three standard conditions
illustrated apply, place the Hard Lock
device so it is as "visible" as possible
(i.e. with the smallest number of metal
obstacles causing interference) to the
measuring sensors and far away from
metal objects which may screen the
electromagnetic waves.
If further communication occur after the
Hard Lock device has been correctly po-
sitioned, fix the radio to a workshop wall,
taking care to position it:
• high up
• well away from metal objects
• "visible" to the measuring sensors
