Upgrading the wheel aligner
software
The wheel aligner is supplied with the software
already installed, and is complete with an instal-
lation CD-ROM.
After installing the EXACT BlackTech wheel
aligner, switch on the machine and go to the
starting screen.
Press the key combination È + F12 (upper case +
F12): the software version will appear on the top
left of the screen, beneath the CORGHI logo.
Compare the software release (indicated as "Sw
STD ...") with that stated on the installation CD-
ROM supplied with the aligner.
If the CD-ROM release is more recent than the
release installed, update the aligner software.
Detailed information about the software update
procedure is provided in the leaflet accompany-
ing the CD-ROM.
Enabling extra wheel aligner
functions
Additional wheel aligner functions are enabled
by updating its main protection card.
The update is obtained by means of the "update
card", received when the relative accessory kit
is ordered.
Update cards carry specific identification sym-
bols; detailed information on update identifica-
tion is supplied in the leaflets attached to it.
To update the main card, which must be inserted in
its slot in the reader, insert the update card in slot
"A" with the gilded contacts facing upward and run
the relative procedure using the
and icons.
The update card cannot be reused. However,
keep it for use if it becomes necessary to re-
program the main card of the wheel aligner for
which it was used the first time.

CARD: card number 1 is the wheel aligner's main
card; card number 2 (if any) is an update card.
HEADER: "MAS" aligner main card, "AGG"
update card.
SERIAL: card serial number. For main cards
this number is unique. For update cards the
44
number is 0 when they are new, while after use
it becomes the same as that of the main card
that has been updated.
DATE: card creation date.
VAS: "ON" Vw/AUDI programme on, "OFF"
programme off.
MLK: "ON" MULTILINK suspension car pro-
gramme on, "OFF" programme off.
REN: "ON" RENAULT programme on, "OFF" pro-
gramme off The RENAULT programme reverses
the toe signs for RENAULT vehicles only.
MER: "ON" MERCEDES programme on, "OFF"
programme off.
PHEATON: "ON" Vw Phaeton and Touareg pro-
gramme on, "OFF" programme off.
ANIM: "ALL" display of alignment adjustment
help animations on, "FIN" display of non-moving
alignment adjustment help diagrams, "OFF"
alignment adjustment help graphics off.
ROMESS: "ON" ROMESS CM-09606 inclinometer
automatic connection programme on, "OFF"
programme off.
ASANTW: "ON" ASA Network programme on,
"OFF" programme off.
RADAR: "ON" vehicle anti-collision radar calibra-

CUSTOM: type of wheel aligner customisation.
BD YEAR: year of the latest databank update, if
"DEMO" the aligner card has not been inserted
or is not functioning correctly.
