HOT WATER / STEAM position to produce a short steam blast. This will remove
residues of milk and/or coffee.
4. At the latest, clean the hot water / steam wand at the end of the day according
to the following instructions.
DAILY CARE OF THE HOT WATER / STEAM WAND
1. Turn the selection dial to the vertical OFF position, switch OFF the appliance
(press the POWER button), and unplug. Wait, until the appliance cooled down.
2. Turn the hot water / steam wand to the front of the appliance. Pull the stainless
steel tube down from the hot water / steam wand. This will be easier, when tur-
ning the stainless steel tube to an fro.
CAUTION:
thread—just as most screws. For removing the tip, ensure to turn the tip in the correct
direction to avoid damage to the thread.
3. Carefully unscrew the tip by hand. If the tip is screwed on too tightly, use an
appropriate, small wrench.
4. Soak the tip, stainless steel tube and hot water / steam wand in hot dishwater
for approx. 10 minutes.
5. Clean the opening in the tip. For this, insert the pin of the cleaning tool into the
opening.
6. Use a clean, damp cloth to remove any residues still sticking to the surfaces. For
cleaning the interior of the stainless steel tube, you may use a clean pipe-cleaner
or a small, soft bottle brush. Do not bend the stainless steal tube.
7. Hold the stainless steel tube and tip up to the light to ensure that they are really
clean.
8. Rinse all parts well under running tap water.
9. Screw on the tip to the hot water / steam wand by hand. There may be no gap
between the tip and the inner tube of the hot water / steam wand. Then push
the stainless steel tube onto the hot water / steam wand. Push it upwards, until it
rests securely on the black sleeve of the handle. Again, you may turn the stainless
steel tube a little to make it slide onto the sleeve.
