12. Mounting/Start-up of "RM50"
a) Mounting the lower cup
Do not fail to observe the instruction for mounting the smoke detector in section 11.
• Remove the upper cup of the smoke detector by rotating the upper and lower cups in opposite
directions (counter clockwise) carefully. Fixed locking of upper/ lower cups is possible only with
batteries inserted!

• The lower cup can be screwed tightly by means of the two fastening holes (1), e.g. to the wall or
the room ceiling.
Depending on the base, two fastening holes are to be drilled previously and suitable dowels
inserted.
Pay attention when drilling/tightening the screws that no power, gas or water
pipes are damaged! Danger to life!
