b) Addressing / adding smoke detector
If you operate only one radio smoke detector system, no smoke detector needs to be registered with
its address on the alarm dialler. All radio smoke detectors "RM50", which are located in the area of
the radio range of your alarm dialler "AW50", are received and signalled automatically.
If, however, several systems are installed next to each other, e.g. in the vicinity, then a unique
identification of the smoke detector pertaining to each system can be provided through the
addressing.
A maximum of 16 "RM50" radio smoke detectors can be registered and operated on one
"AW50" alarm dialler.
If you wish to register several smoke detectors one after the other, then keep a minimum
interval of 30 seconds between the registration of two smoke detectors.
1. Activate programming mode
• Press "Prg" key
• Red LED "Mode" lights up, entry level 1 is active
2. Select "Add" mode
• Press key "Mod" , then press key "1"
• Red LED "Mode" flashes, entry level 2 is active
• The alarm dialler is now in receiving state for 15 minutes for the addresses of the radio smoke
detector "RM50".
3. Registering smoke detector
• Trigger a test alarm on the smoke detector by pressing the test button till a signal is outputted
by the smoke detector.
• The addresses of the smoke detector are then transferred automatically to the alarm dialler and
saved there.
• If the registration went off correctly, the alarm dialler issues the smoke alarm message through
its loudspeaker.
• If the message is not outputted, the alarm has not been received or there are already 16 smoke
detector addresses stored (refer to "Delete all sensor addresses"").
4. Terminating the mode "Register smoke detector"
• The mode is terminated automatically after 15 minutes or by pressing any key on the alarm
dialler.
• The red LED "Mode" goes off, the programming mode is terminated and the alarm dialler returns
to the normal operation.
