The way in which you activate a SAPI-S7 database depends on
whether the database was created in LDB or in XDB format .
A SAPI-S7 database created in the LDB format is activated in the
"S7 Protocol" tab (taskbar Start

Then continue as outlined in the table below:
Step
1 Select the check box "Activate S7" and click the left
mouse button. The "SAPI S7 Database" list box is
activated.
2 Enter a valid database in the "SAPI-S7 Database" list box.
3 Close the configuration program with OK.
A SAPI-S7 database created in the "XDB" format is activated in the
"STEP 7 Configuration" tab (taskbar Start
Set PG/PC Interface ). Then continue as outlined in the
Panel
table below:
Step
1 Enter the name of a valid database with the extension
".XDB" in the "Configuration file name" list box.
2 Close the configuration program with OK.
