Using a virus scanner during operation can cause problems with
hardware expansions.
It is recommended that you do not run virus tests while
CP-5412/Windows NT is active. After a virus test, you should reset
your computer before you activate an interface to the process.
Before you install this product, please make sure that no other
application has been started that uses existing SIMATIC NET
components.
CAUTION!!!
If software components that would normally be replaced during
installation of this product are already in use, they are retained
and not replaced without any error message being displayed.
This means that the installation is incomplete and you may
encounter problems later during operation.
If you have already installed a SINEC or SIMATIC NET product,
you should always install the new product on the same drive!
When you install the product under Windows NT, a "SIMATIC NET
Synchronization Service" is installed and always started automatically.
Do not, under any circumstances terminate this service or
deactivate it in the control panel. This also applies to the
corresponding process "Sim9Sync". The product cannot
function correctly without this process.
If you uninstall this product with an uninstaller program that
deletes software under Windows, the license may be lost.
Explanation
This warning applies to all users who installed this product with an
uninstaller.
If you want to uninstall the product with the uninstaller, you must first
transfer the license back to the key diskette before you uninstall the
product! Transfer the license using the "AUTHORSW.EXE" program
on the key diskette.
If you do not use this program to transfer the license, then depending
on the particular uninstaller, you may destroy the license when you
uninstall the product.
