h) Motor Timing

This setting influences motor running characteristics (similar to early ignition of a combustion engine). Changing
motor timing changes very many parameters, including the power values. Therefore, also observe compliance with
the motor and flight controller specifications. Also observe the temperatures of the components named in operation.
If you do not have the corresponding specialist know-how and matching measuring equipment, we recommend the
factory settings. In this setting, the best setting used for the motor is automatically set.
The motor timing can be programmed as follows:
• Switch the transmitter on and then put the throttle lever for motor control to the full throttle position.
• Then connect the flight battery to the flight controller again.
• The flight controller will switch to programming mode after various signal sounds and start with the first program-
ming item, "Motor brake". This is indicated by a brief signal sound. Wait until you hear a long signal sound and a
short signal sound. Now pull the control lever for the motor control back all the way (position "Motor off").
• The flight controller signals the setting options with an endless loop:
- 1 signal sound = low timing (3.75°)
- 2 signal sounds = medium timing (15°)
- 3 signal sounds = high timing (26.25°)
• To save, set the control lever for the motor control to full throttle at the desired setting.
i) Restoring Default Settings
Use the programme item "Factory Settings" to reset the flight controller to its basic settings. If you find any undesired
reactions in the operation of the model or flight controller, activate factory settings.
The factory settings can be programmed as follows:
• Switch the transmitter on and then put the throttle lever for motor control to the full throttle position.
• Then connect the flight battery to the flight controller again.
• The flight controller will switch to programming mode after various signal sounds and start with the first program-
ming item, "Motor brake". This is indicated by a brief signal sound. Wait until you hear a long signal sound and two
short signal sounds. Now pull the control lever for the motor control back all the way (position "Motor off").
• To save, set the control lever for the motor control to full throttle. The flight controller is now reset to factory settings.
