b) Position "Motor off"

The flight controller automatically recognises the control signal of the transmitter for motor control. If, for example, the
control lever for the motor control is not in the "Motor off" position when the flight battery is connected (control lever
is not pulled all the way back to the body), the current position of the control lever may be recognised as an error.
In this case, the flight controller will emit three signals in quick sequence and interrupts initialisation of the flight con-
troller. Only when the control lever of the transmitter is fully pulled back will the electronics switch the flight controller
to operating mode and recognise the control lever position (at the very rear) as "Motor off".
When the control lever for the motor control is pushed all the way to the front (away from you), the flight controller
switches to programming mode. There will be a small melody followed by a double signal sound (2 beeps).
Now pull the control lever for the motor control back all the way to the rear position. The position "Motor off" is then
programmed.
Depending on the number of cells that are recognised in the LiPo battery, the flight controller's readiness for operation
is signalled by two brief signal sounds (two-cell rechargeable battery was recognised) or by three brief signal sounds
(three-cell rechargeable battery was recognised), followed by a longer signal sound.
Always observe that the control lever at the transmitter for the motor control is pulled back all the way
(towards you) when connecting the flight battery. After programming "motor off", no further programming is
possible. If necessary, restart programming.

c) Motor Brake

The flight controller has an integrated motor brake. This "EMK brake" stops (brakes) the motor immediately after the
control signal "Motor off".
This motor brake keeps the motor from running along anymore due to the air flowing through the propeller in flight,
and the folding propeller may fold in. This reduces air resistance in pure gliding.
The motor brake can be switched on and off as follows:
• Switch the transmitter on and then put the throttle lever for motor control to the full throttle position.
• Then connect the flight battery to the flight controller again.
• The flight controller will switch to programming mode after various signal sounds and start with the first program-
ming item, "Motor brake". This is indicated by a brief signal sound. Now pull the control lever for the motor control
back all the way (position "Motor off").
• The flight controller signals the setting options with an endless loop.
- One signal sound = motor brake deactivated
- Two signal sounds = motor brake activated
• To save, set the control lever for the motor control to full throttle at the desired setting.
