Connection and Control Elements

See illustration on the fold-out page
(1) DJ MIC socket
A dynamic microphone or a condenser microphone with its own power supply and XLR plug con-
nector can be connected to this socket for the DJ.
(2) Level display for the output signal
The level display indicates the level of the output signal. If possible, the indicator should not exceed
"0dB" as the music signal may otherwise be distorted.
(3) Input selection switch
You can use the input switch to select between the individual inputs (signal sources) for the chan-
nel.
Example:
If the input switch for the channel 1 DJ MIC/CD1 is in the DJ MIC position, this means that the sig-
nal from the DJ microphone is switched to channel 1. Input CD1 is not reproduced in this switch
position. To play back input CD1, the DJ MIC/CD1 input selection switch has to be switched to the
position CD1.
Minimise the volume using the corresponding channel fader before changing over an
input selection switch. Possible differences in volume between the input sources
may otherwise cause sudden excessive volume.
(4) Mains switch POWER
The mixer is switched on and off using this switch.
The mixer is switched on when the switch is in the "I" position, the POWER indicator LED to the
right of the level display (2) lights up. The mixer is switched off when the switch is in the "0" posi-
tion.
(5) GAIN control
You can use these control knobs to adjust the mixer inputs to the output level of the respective sig-
nal source (record player, CD player etc.).
Position "0" = mixer input is very insensitive
Position "10" = mixer input is very sensitive
(6) Equaliser
You can change the tone of the relevant microphone channel using the equaliser controls.
HIGH = treble control
MID = mids control
LOW = bass control
Turn the control knob as far as it will go to the left for maximum reduction.
Turn the control knob as far as it will go to the right for maximum increase.
The central position (felt by a light clicking into place) means that the signal remains unaltered
(neutral setting).
(7) CUE/PAN control knob
You use this control knob to set which signal is switched to the headphones output.
In the CUE position, the signal which has been selected using the CUE switches (pre-listening) is
played back. In the PGM position, the mixer output signal can be heard.
