This mode is used to perform root canal shap-
ing using the handpiece and the contra-angle
handpiece mounted on it. The handpiece oper-
ates without any connection to the main unit via
cables. The patient cable can be disconnected
from the main unit.
The screen shows the preferred file systems
selectable by the operator from the settings
menu. A file system is a set of one or more files
defined by its manufacturer to shape the root
canal. Files within a given file system can be
either continuously rotating or reciprocating.
EnDrive has in memory an instrument library
containing most of the existing file systems on
the market; each file has defined, within its set-
tings the mode of rotation, either continuous or
reciprocating.
Insert a CE-marked rotary endodontic instru-
ment with stem diameter 2.334 to 2.35 mm,
according to ISO 1797:2017, of the type of this
one in the figure below:

Clicking on the name of the desired file system,
the operating screen will pop up:
Make sure the handpiece is connected to the
main unit via Bluetooth.
Select the endodontic file in use on the screen
making sure that manufacturer, conicity and
size match.
The file can be selected from those available
within the chosen file system using the buttons:
