• EpiPoint is a prescribed
product that should be worn
under a physician's guidance.
EpiPoint should only be
applied in accordance with
these instructions for use
and for the listed areas of
application.
• No product liability is accepted
in the event of improper use.
• The EpiPoint should not be
altered arbitrarily.
• In the event of a product defect
or wear to individual parts,
please contact your medical
retailer.
• Do not allow the product to
come into contact with oint-
ments, lotions, or substances
containing grease or acids.
• The product's unique effect
is produced primarily during
physical activity. The product
should be removed during
prolonged periods of rest (e. g.
sleeping, continuous sitting).
• Any supports and orthoses
applied externally to the body
can, if tightened excessively,
lead to localized pressure or,
rarely, constrict the underlying
blood vessels or nerves.
• In such cases, please loosen
the straps -or the fastening
slightly and have the correct
fit and size of the orthosis
checked if necessary.
• If you notice any unusual
changes or your symptoms get
worse, take the product off and
please contact your physician
without delay.
• If you would like to use your
Bauerfeind product due to
acute symptoms / injuries,
make sure to obtain and
follow the advice of a medical
professional before first using
the product. Restrictions
may exist given the specific
indication which the specialist

the ability to operate vehicles,
other means of transport or
machinery may be limited. In
case of doubt, we recommend
temporarily refraining from the
activities mentioned above.
• Furthermore, proceed with
extreme caution, as your ability
to grip is also heavily impacted.
Contains natural rubber
latex (elastodiene), which
can cause skin irritation
in persons with an allergy.
Take off the orthose if
you notice any allergic
reaction.
Contraindications
Side effects involving the body
as a whole, have not been
reported to date. Correct fitting
is assumed. Hypersensitive
reactions harmful to health have
not been reported to date. In the
following conditions such aids
should only be fitted and applied
after consultation with your
medical provider:
1. Skin disorders / injuries in
the relevant part of the body,
particularly if inflammation is
present. Likewise, any raised
scars with swelling, redness
and excessive heat build-up.
2. Impaired sensation and
circulatory disorders of the
forearm and the hand.
3. Impaired lymph drainage –
including soft tissue swelling
of uncertain origin located
remotely from the fitted aid.
4. Bottleneck syndromes
(irritation due to compression
of nerves in the arm).
