4 Installation and assembly
Step 8: Connect raised outlet and pump
Connect discharge pipe
The connection for the raised outlet is located in the uppermost groove on the pump shaft.
Unscrew and remove the cover from the connection for the raised outlet.

2. Connect the discharge pipe leading to the reintroduction point to the connection fitting with Ø 1½"
external thread.
3. Carefully install backfill material under and around the discharge pipe.

Undo the screws on the shaft cover on the pump shaft.

2. Remove the shaft cover and set aside.
3. Insert the threaded pipe of the cable gland, from the inside, into the connection opening in the top rib
of the pump shaft.
4. Slide the cable gland counter nut over the end of the power supply cable.
5. Feed the cable, from the outside, through the threaded pipe approx. 20 cm–30 cm into the pump
shaft.
6. Screw the nut tightly onto the cable gland.
 The pump connection cable is tied to the top pipe of the raised outlet.
7. Connect the wires of the pump connection cable and the power supply cable using the quick cable
connectors. Make sure the wires are connected correctly.

Step 9: Install the upper backfill and covering layer
Before further backfilling, put all shaft covers back on the shafts and fasten them in place with the

screws.
 Backfill materials or other debris should not get into the system.
2. Continue backfilling the system in layers with backfill material, each layer 30 cm deep, to approx.
20 cm below the top edge of the shafts. Carefully compact each layer.
 Rounded gravel does not need to be compacted.
 Take possible subsequent settlement into account with regard to the backfill height.
3. For the covering layer, backfill excavated soil (if suitable) or other suitable backfill material up to the
top edge of the shafts.
 The shaft covers must not be covered with earth or any other material.
