4 Installation and assembly
4.2.2.4 Distance from traffic areas and neighbouring properties
If the system is installed next to areas that can be
driven on by vehicles, or close to neighbouring
properties, the distance between the system and
these areas must be at least equal to the installa-
tion depth.
If the system is to be installed at a lesser distance,
its stability must be calculated and approved by a
qualified planning firm. If necessary, stability must
be ensured by suitable structural measures (see
also Section 4.2.7).
Neighbouring areas must not be affected in any
way or restricted in their future use.
4.2.2.5 Distance from other underground tanks
If other containers (e.g. tanks) will be installed or have already been installed in the vicinity of the system, a
minimum distance of ≥ 60 cm must be maintained between the tanks.
4.2.2.6 Distance from water catchment systems
The minimum distances from water catchment systems depend on the locally applicable regulations and
ordinances. In particular, different specifications may also apply for the distance from the system and from
the reintroduction point for the treated wastewater. Please contact the local authorities. Usually, the mini-
mum distance is checked as part of the approval process.
