4 Installation and assembly
Important!
Establish before installation:
Structural suitability of the soil
Types of loading present, e.g. traffic loads
Nature of the terrain and surrounding area
Nearby buildings, traffic areas and trees
A soil survey should be obtained from the relevant authority to determine the physical properties of the
soil.
4.2.2 Installation location: Distances
Special requirements apply for installation near to buildings, traffic areas, elevated ground and trees as well
as for installation on slopes.
4.2.2.1 Distance from buildings
In order to prevent damage to the system or neigh-
bouring structures:
• The system must be installed at a distance ≥ 1
m from the building foundation.
• A distance of ≥ 50 cm must be maintained be-
tween the slope face of the excavated pit and
the structure's load zone along the entire length
of the slope face.
If the angles of the slope face and/or the load zone
are not known, we recommend assuming an angle
of 45° in each case.
