15. Maintenance and cleaning

This product is maintenance-free (apart from replacing the batteries). Repair or maintenance work must be done by
a technician or a specialist repair centre. This product does not contain any components that require maintenance
(except for inserting/changing the batteries as described in these instructions), therefore do not attempt to open it.
Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the product. Do not press too hard on the housing, as this can lead to scratch marks.
Dust can be easily removed using a clean, long-haired brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Use a cloth dampened with clean water to clean the outdoor sensor.
Regularly check the rain gauge and remove any leaves or other objects.
Regularly clean the rain gauge with a cotton swab as illustrated in figure 29.
Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these could damage/discolour the
casing or cause the product to malfunction.
