g) Resetting the base station

To reset the base station to the factory settings, hold down the reset button (see section 8a) for 3 seconds using a
suitable tool.

12. Changing the battery

• If transmission to the base station is sporadic, replace the batteries in the outdoor sensor.
• The outdoor sensor is powered by three 1.5 V AA batteries
• If the base station does not display measurements after changing the batteries, disconnect the base station from
the power supply for a few seconds.
• The base station constantly monitors the battery voltage. The battery status is indicated in SMS notifications. The
battery is fully charged when the battery voltage is 4.2 V. An SMS alert will be sent to your smartphone when the
battery voltage drops below 3.6 V. Data will still be saved to the SD card, but the base station will not send SMS
alerts or upload measurements to Wunderground.
The rechargeable battery in the base station should be replaced when it does not last long enough to power the
base station overnight after a full charge.

13. Troubleshooting

The weather station/measurements are not displayed on www.wunderground.com
• Under "Time Zone", enter the time zone for the base station.
If you enter the wrong time zone, the base station will send incorrect data and the Wunderground server will not
register your station.
Check that the time on your computer is the same as the time displayed under "Current Weather". If not, change
the time zone accordingly.
The base station obtains the time from an online server.
• Check that you entered the correct station ID and password in the base station software.
The base station does not receive data from the outdoor sensor
• Check that the base station and outdoor sensor are connected properly.
• Check that the batteries in the outdoor sensor are inserted correctly. If the issue persists, replace the batteries.
• Reset the base station. If data is still not received, reset the outdoor sensor.
