d) Registering the weather station and uploading measurements

• Open Weather Logger GSM and connect your computer to the base station.
• Enter all necessary data. For example, under "Time Zone", enter the local time zone.
If you enter the wrong time zone, the base station will send incorrect data and the Wunderground server will not
register your station.
Check that the time on your computer is the same as the time displayed under "Current Weather". If not, change
the time zone accordingly.
The base station obtains the time from an online server.
• Under "Unit", change the units to the desired settings.
• Click "Save" to apply the settings.
• Under "Web Server", enter the station ID you obtained earlier (see section 11c for details). Note that the station ID
is case-sensitive.
• Under "Password", enter your Wunderground account password (see 11b for details). The password is also case-
sensitive.
• Click "Save" to apply the settings.
• Under "Telephone", enter a smartphone number and a station name.
The basic settings are now complete. When configuring the base station, refer to the instructions in section 10
("Software").
Once you have completed the steps from section 11a--11e, measurements will be automatically uploaded to www.
wunderground.com. Measurements will be sent via SMS at your chosen interval.
• To check whether measurements are uploading correctly, launch the web browser on your computer.
• Visit www.wunderground.com and log in with your credentials (e-mail address and password, see 11b).
• Click "My Profile" at the top of the page and go to "My Weather Stations".
If "My Weather Stations" is not displayed, this indicates that you have not registered your weather station on the
Wunderground website. Refer to section 11c for details on how to obtain a station ID.
Ensure that the base station time zone has been set correctly, otherwise measurements will not be uploaded to
the server.
Depending on the server, it may take a while for your weather station to be registered on www.wunderground.com.
• You should now be able to see all weather stations that you have registered on www.wunderground.com.
Click the station ID to view a map of the station's location. Scroll down to view the measurements.
