5. Safety instructions

Damage caused by failure to observe these safety instructions will void the warranty. We shall not
be liable for any consequential damages.
We shall not be liable for damage to property or personal injuries caused by improper use or failure
to observe the safety instructions. Such cases will void the warranty.
a) General information
• The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product or its components is prohibited for safety
and approval reasons.
• The manufacturer shall not be responsible for inaccurate measurements/weather forecasts and any re-
sulting consequences.
• This product is designed for private use only; it is not intended for medical purposes or for providing
information to the general public.
• Maintenance and repair work must be done by a technician.
• Do not leave packaging material unattended, as it may become dangerous playing material for children.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions, please contact us or
other technical personnel.

b) Operation

• This product is not a toy. Keep the product out of the reach of children and exercise particular caution
when children are present.
• The base station is suitable for outdoor use. However, it must be placed in a sheltered area away from
rainfall.
• The outdoor sensor and solar panel are suitable for outdoor use. However, they must not be submerged
in water, as this may destroy the interior components.
• When setting up the product, ensure that the cables are not bent or pinched.
• Handle the product with care. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height may damage the product.
• Do not use the product in adverse ambient conditions or in areas where flammable gases, vapours or
dust may be present! This may result in an explosion.
• Only use the product in temperate climates. It is not suitable for use in tropical climates.
• Remove the batteries/rechargeable battery when you do not plan to use the product for a prolonged
period (e.g. in storage).
