MAINTENANCE
6. MAINTENANCE
The Move Go key cutting machine requires no particular
maintenance plan. Nonetheless, certain parts should be
checked regularly and eventually replaced once they beco-
me worn. This particularly applies to the cutters.
We recommend disconnecting the battery if the machine is
not going to be used for an extended period of time.
Maintenance operations should be carried out by qualified
professionals with the necessary protective equipment for
working safely. The instructions provided in this manual
should be followed carefully when performing any main-
tenance tasks and the following instructions should be
followed in general:
1.
Before starting any maintenance work,
switch off the on/off switch (17), switch
off the master switch (20), close the
protective screen (21) and check that
the machine is NOT connected to the
battery charger. The operator should
make sure that nobody can access the
machine.
2.
Do not perform any maintenance
operations while the machine is in
operation.
3.
Original spare parts should always be
used. The CE mark is only guaranteed
when original spare parts supplied by
the manufacturer are used.
4.
Only use original batteries and battery
chargers.
5.
After replacing a component, make
sure that the corresponding screws are
in their correct position.
6.
NEVER USE COMPRESSED AIR! We
recommend using the small brush
supplied with the machine for keeping
the clamps and carriage assembly free
from metallic swarf.
7.
We recommend using protective oil
(WD40 or similar) to protect the metal
parts of the machine against oxida-
tion, applying it to the clamps.
6.1 CLAMP REPLACEMENT
See Figure 17
Follow the steps below to do this:
1.
Switch off the on/off switch (17), switch
off the master switch (20), close the
protective screen (21) and check that
the machine is NOT connected to the
battery charger.
1) Remove the cutter (10) and tracer (11) from the machine to
give yourself more space to work.
2) Unscrew and remove the two clamp handles (8) to access
the clamp securing screws.
3) Unscrew the two screws (T1) and remove the clamp (7) by
carefully pulling it upwards.
4) To mount the new clamp, follow the same steps but in
reverse.
6.2 CLAMP ADJUSTMENT
See Figure 18
The machine leaves the factory with the clamp (7) pre-ad-
justed so no subsequent adjustments are needed. If the
clamp is replaced with another in the future, we recommend
adjusting the orientation of the new clamp. Follow the steps
below to do so:
