The COMBINATION: 1 indicates that it should not be copied.
The COMBINATION: 2, indicates that there is a small cut in
the key. When it is somewhat larger, that corresponds to the
COMBINATION: 3. The COMBINATION: 4 is the largest of the
possible cuts in the key.
- Take the key and mark the combinations for each of the six
POSITIONS as shown below in the example:
POSITION
A B C D E F
COMBINATION 3 4 1 2 4 2
NOTE: The series of numbers making up the combination is
the code for the key.
5.2.10 TUBULAR keys
See Figures 15A and 15B
- Use this cutter-tracer set: F-8/P-8.
- Choose a pair of adapters to use based on the exterior
diameter of the key. There are four pairs that cover diameters
ranging from 5 mm to 12.5 mm.
- Secure the key in the "V" shaped part of the clamp exclusi-
vely designed for securing TUBULAR keys.
- It is important to secure the keys so that both are facing
the same direction.
- Adjust the tracer vertically.
- You will need to enable the tracer spring action system.
5.2.11 HON-31 Keys
See Figure 16
- Use this cutter-tracer set: F-11/P-11.
- Secure the original key in the left-hand part of the clamp
using the "TIP stop" technique.
- Secure the key blank in the right-hand part of the clamp
while positioning it on top of the adapter (0.4 mm templa-
te). This will ensure that the key bitting is slightly above the
clamp and will prevent the cutter from machining the clamp
itself.
- Complete the cutter-tracer adjustment procedure.

- Lock the tracer in place (disable the spring action system).
- Insert the tracer into the blade channel on the key and lock
the height of the machine head.
- If the tip of the tracer brushes against the bottom of the
blade channel on the key, raise the tracer slightly.
- Enter the channel from the right (from the key grip towards
the key tip) and then trace the left-hand side (from the tip to
the grip).
