Read these installation instructions before you
start installing the product.

Never carry out the installation on your own.
Some of the work steps can only be achieved
with two people working.

Preparing for installation
4.3.1 Information regarding installation
Observe the following information before starting the
installation:
•
The steps for installation described in these
assembly and operating instructions refer to a
standard installation. Please contact the
manufacturer regarding special mounting
conditions.

Note that the following assembly instructions
describe the assembly of a sectional door with a
front-mounted torsion spring shaft (VL). If a rear-
mounted torsion spring shaft (HL) is to be
mounted, also observe the instructions in
chapter: 4.7 / – Mounting the rear-mounted
torsion spring shaft (HL).
•
Prior to assembly, preventively compare the
dimensions of the garage by comparing them to
the basic dimensions of the door.
– minimal internal width of the garage = width of
basic dimension + 160 mm
– For VL: minimum garage height up to ceiling =
height of basic dimension + 245 mm
– For HL: minimum garage height up to ceiling =
height of basic dimension + 115 mm
– minimum width stop, right and left = 35 mm
•
Check the dimensions of the garage door
opening and compare them to the dimensions
specified on the delivery note.
•
Check whether the supplied wooden screws (S8)
and the plugs (S9) are suitable for the respective
structural conditions.
•
All right/ left specifications regarding the
installation refer to the perspective from the
inside of the garage, i.e. the viewing direction is
towards the outwards direction!
•
All specified dimensions are in millimetres.

4.3.2 Required tools

following tools (put into the garage prior to the install-
ation of the door, if no other access is available):

wooden folding rule or tape measure
•
reversible ratchet with extension
•
wrench set with SW 7, 10, 13 and T30 (if
required, also jaw spanners or socket wrenches)
•
cross-tip screwdriver Phillips; size 2
•
T30 screwdriver
•
impact drill
•
10 mm drill (drill length at least 200 mm)
•
chalk for marking
•
wire rope shears or heavy-duty side cutter
•
cutter knife
•
spirit level (min. 80 cm)
•
hacksaw
•
water pump pliers

hammer
