General safety information

Please also observe the particular safety information
in the individual chapters.
Installation with 3 mm contact gap:
• On installation an all-pin shut-off fixture needs to
be provided with a 3 mm contact gap (usually
ensured by the fuse).
Make sure all terminals/pins are assigned correctly.
Intended purpose:
• Prior to turning on the sauna control and when
selecting the start-time (time until the stove starts)
make sure that no combustible objects have been
placed on top of the stove.
• The CV 3 sauna control is used to control the
functions in accordance with the technical data
(see last page).
• Install and operate the CV 3 sauna control only in
fixed rooms with an ambient temperature of
-10° C to +40° C.
• Install and operate the CV 3 sauna control only
outside the sauna cabin.
• Use the CV 3 sauna control only to control and
regulate 3 heat circuits with a maximum of 3.5 kW
output per heat circuit.
• Combine the CV 3 sauna control and the optional
power boosts S2-18 or S2-30 only with approved
sauna stoves that can be operated in terms of
power and features with the CV 3 sauna control
without any risk.
Please observe the specifications for the sauna
stove.
• As an option, you can increase the switching
capacity with an additional power unit from 10.5
kW to 18 kW / 30 kW.

2 Preparing to install the sauna
control
Install the sauna control on the exterior of the sauna
cabin or in accordance with the cabin manufacturer's
recommendations. The electrical supply is hardwired.
CAUTION - Damage to unit:
The control is splash-proof (degree of pro-
tection: IP 24). The control still should not
come in direct contact with water.
• Install the control at a dry location.
• Keep the ambient conditions between -10°
Celsius to +40° Celsius and the maximum
humidity at 95 percent.
1. Slightly push in safety lock 3 and remove the
cover of the housing 4.
2. Screw 16 mm long Philips head screw into the
upper mounting hole 1 up to a gap of 7 mm from
the sauna wall (refer to detail).
3. Hook bottom of housing 2 in position 1 on the
fitted Philips head screw.
