MONITOR
HY2
Hysteresis for output 2:
A hysteresis value can be allocated to the switch point SP2 to determine the distance
between the switch point and the reset point or to avoid output chattering near the
switch point. The hysteresis is given in % of the switch point and the unit uses it
according to the selected switching function.
Explanations on the switching characteristics of the outputs with regard to the hyste-
resis are given in the function diagrams on the switching functions, from page 29
onwards.
• Range of values: 0.1 ... 1000.0% of the value for SP.
• Presetting in the factory: 5.0.
Time functions
STx
Start-up delay for output x:
When the unit has been switched on (Power ON) or when a 24 V signal has been
applied to the corresponding RESET input, the respective output is switched for this
time irrespective of real measured values as follows:
Direction monitoring:
Output 1 = ON (presetting a direction signal) for SC1 = 2 and ST1 > 0.0 for the set
time.
Output 1 = OFF (suppression of a direction signal) for SC1 = 1 and ST1 > 0.0 for the
set time.
When ST has elapsed, the output switches according to the last detected pulse
sequence and the setting of FO1 (see parameter SC1, page 11).
Speed monitoring
The start-up delay is mainly used to suppress the failure message in the switching
function FO2 (error message "underspeed") since every time the plant is started the
motors have to run up to speed first.
Explanations on the switching characteristics of the outputs with regard to the start-
up delay are given in the functions diagrams on the switching functions from page
29 onwards.
• Range of values: 0.0 ... 1000.0s.
• Presetting in the factory: 0.0 (start-up delay is not active).
DTx
Delay time for output x:
This delay time prevents the respective output from changing its switching state
immediately when overspeed or underspeed has occurred. The output only switch-
es if overspeed or underspeed still prevails after the delay time. If this is not the case
when DT has elapsed, the delay time is reset and the output remains in the non-
switched state. The delay time only applies to the switching of the output (relay
energised, transistor switched), not for resetting the output.
