2.1 Unpacking and positioning
1. Unpack the appliance carefully. Dispose of the packaging as described in chapter
WASTE MANAGEMENT
2. The accessories of the appliance may be equipped with transport protections. Be
very careful and do not use any aggressive or abrasive detergents to remove
residuals of the transport protection.
3. Check that the appliance and the power cord are not visible damaged.
4. Do not install the appliance in a place where it may come in contact with water
or rain; otherwise, the insulation of the electrical system will be damaged.
5. Install the appliance on a level, dry and solid floor. Check the correct installation
with a bubble level.
6. This appliance may be installed in a suitable location only.
7. Check the route of electrical and other cables in the installation area to prevent
these cables from being accidentally drilled into.
8. Clean the surrounding area thoroughly before installation. This will prevent dust
or building rubble from being sucked in when the appliance is first used.
9. Remove the complete packaging material before initial operation.
10. Connect the appliance to the mains properly.
11. Connect the integrated extractor fan of the appliance to a properly grounded
safety socket only.
12. The respective rating plates are on the underside of the induction hob and on the
upper extraction unit (subject to alterations).

MPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING THE INSTALLATION SITE
Walls and / or high cabinets must not be on either side of the appliance (s. fig
below). RISK OF FIRE!
A wall or a high cabinet may only be allowed on one side of the appliance (s fig.
below).
