9.2.1. Maintenance advice for the
specialist trade
Maintenance must be carried out in accordance with the Bischoff &
Bischoff maintenance plan. A maintenance schedule will be provided
upon request. A training programme for the specialised trade is also
available.
10. Repair
Repairs and maintenance work may only be carried out by
authorised partners (medical supply stores or specialist dealers). Please
call our customer service department to find a partner in your area.
The customer service contact details can be found on the back of these
operating instructions.
11. Parking
Do not park your power wheelchair in damp or humid conditions, as
this will lead to mould growth and rapid deterioration of the
upholstery parts. Also ensure that the drives are engaged (see chapter
6.15).
12. Lifting and holding points
Due to its weight, it is preferable to use ramps for loading the electric
wheelchair. If you need to lift the wheelchair nevertheless, only pick it
up by the frame (fig. 53). Do not grip the panel, electronics or other
attachment parts. You can secure the electric wheelchair for transport with
53.
the four lugs (fig. 54 and fig. 55) in the front and back under the seat.
114
You must check your wheelchair regularly according
to the maintenance schedule and find it to be in
perfect working order.
13. Transport
The wheelchair must not be used as a vehicle seat.
It must not be used as such under any circumstances. It does not fulfil the

can cause extremely serious injuries and death in the event of an
accident.
You can recognise that your wheelchair is not approved as a seat
in a motor vehicle for the transport of persons with reduced
mobility (KMP) by the symbols on the type plate of your product
(chapter 3.2).
Wheelchair not suitable as a seat in the KMP (Fig. 56).
Wheelchair suitable as a seat in the KMP (Fig. 57).
This Taiga wheelchair is not approved for the
transport of disabled persons in accordance with
ISO 10542-2 and must not be used as a vehicle
seat.
14. Passing on the wheelchair
The wheelchair is suitable for reuse. Before it is passed on to another
user, it must be serviced and hygienically prepared by a specialist dealer.
When passing on the wheelchair, please remember to give this user
manual and the address of your specialist dealer to the new user.
15. Storage and dispatch
If the wheelchair is to be stored or shipped, all plug-in and non-fixed
parts, except the drive wheels, must be removed and packed
individually in suitable cardboard boxes. The electrical circuit must be
opened for longer storage periods. The individually packed parts
can then be packed together in a larger box. It is advisable to keep
the original packaging and store it for this purpose so that it is available
when needed. Your wheelchair is then optimally protected against
environmental influences during storage or transport.
