• Avoid driving into an obstacle (e.g. step, kerb) without braking.
• Observe the anti-tip protection on stepped terrain, lifting platforms
and ramps. Ensure sufficient clearance above, below and to the sides.
• The control unit must always be switched off when you get in or out
of the vehicle.
• The road traffic regulations must be observed in road traffic.
• The rear lights on the wheelchair must always be visible to other road
users.
• If possible, wear light-coloured, conspicuous clothing. This will make
you more visible to other road users.
• Please note that upholstered parts that are exposed to direct sunlight
can heat up and cause skin injuries if touched. Therefore, cover these
parts. Be aware of the risk of trapping between moving parts when
adjusting, using and maintaining the wheelchair.
• The seat and upholstery materials fulfil the requirements for
resistance to flammability in accordance with EN 1021-2/ ISO 8191-
2 Nevertheless, do not place any upholstery or other parts on fire
sources- such as cigarettes.
• Please note the increased risk of entrapment for the user, the
occupant and third parties when using the electric seat adjustment.
• Always adjust the seat and backrest to an upright position when
travelling with the wheelchair.
• Travelling on slopes is only permitted if the seat and backrest are in
an upright position.
• At low ambient temperatures, metal parts of the wheelchair can cool
down considerably, so avoid skin contact.
• If you notice any unusual behaviour or damage to your power
wheelchair, stop using it and contact your specialist dealer.

• Reporting of incidents.
If you as the operator, user or their relatives discover possible
defects or functional limitations, please contact an authorised
immediately. Operators, users or their relatives
should inform their authorised dealer who provided them with the
product about suspected serious incidents that have had or could
have directly or indirectly one of the following consequences and
which affect them. You can also report this to the competent
higher federal authority:
• the death of a patient, user or other person,
• the temporary or permanent serious deterioration in the state of
health of a patient, user or other person,
• a serious threat to public health.

2.2. Safety in vehicles

The Taiga is not suitable for use as a vehicle seat. It must not be
used as such under any circumstances. It does not fulfil the
requirements of ISO 7176-19 and failure to do so may result in serious
injury or death in the event of an accident (Fig. A).

2.3. Participation in road traffic

The wheelchair is designed for indoor and outdoor use. Please note that
you must take part in public road traffic and comply with the road
traffic regulations.
Do not endanger other participants by driving recklessly, especially on
pavements
