Button for speed level adjustment
Use this button (E) to adjust the speed level of the wheelchair, if the
attendant control unit is activated. By pressing this button, the maximum
possible speed of the relevant drive speed will be increased by one level,
until you reach level 5. Pressing again will reset the speed back to level
1. If the control unit is programmed for operation with drive profiles,
only the speed level within the selected profile will be adjusted using the
button for speed level adjustment of the positioning system.
6.9. Locking and unlocking of the
wheelchair
The R-Net control system can be locked to prevent unauthorised use.
The locking method is by a sequence of button presses and joystick
movements as described below.
To lock the wheelchair
- With the control system switched on, press and hold the on/off
button.
- After 1 second, the control system will beep. Now release the on/off
button.
- Move the joystick forward until the control system beeps.
- Move the joystick backwards until the control system beeps.
- Release the joystick, you will hear a long beep.
- The wheelchair is now locked.
To unlock the wheelchair;
- Switch on the control system with the on/off button. The maximum
speed/profile display moves up and down.
- Move the joystick forward until the control system beeps.
- Move the joystick backwards until the control system beeps.
- Release the joystick, you will hear a long beep.
- The wheelchair is now unlocked.

6.10. Adjustments to the Control unit
Changes to the programming of the control unit must not be carried
out and voids the product conformity and road approval. Changes to the
programming have an impact on speed, acceleration and brake delay. If
carried out incorrectly, this can lead to fatal injuries to the user and/or
a third party.
6.11. Getting in and out of the chair
Entering and leaving from the side
Move the wheelchair as close as possible to the present or future seat
so they are side by side.
If you wish to move from another wheelchair or room chair, lock it by
setting the parking brakes.
Lock the Taiga to prevent it from moving accidentally by pressing the
On/Off button to switch off the control (all displays off).
You must also activate the mechanical locking brake when the drives
are disengaged.
Remove the arm rest and side section.
Fold the foot plates to the side or remove the leg rests.
Now slide sideways onto the other seat.
Make sure that you are sitting as far back in the seat as possible.
Move the arm rest and leg rests to the original position.
Entering and leaving from the front
First fold the foot plates up or remove the leg rests.
Move the Taiga as close as possible to the present or future seat front
to front.
If you wish to move from another wheelchair or room chair, lock it by
setting the parking brakes.
Now slide onto the seat by turning your body around.
Then move the arm rest and leg rests to the original position.
