2.4. Notes on EMC interference
Despite compliance with all applicable EMC guidelines and
standards, it is possible that the power wheelchair may be disturbed
by or interfere with other electrical devices (e.g. mobile phones). If you
notice such behaviour, either switch off the external device or move your
power wheelchair out of the range of interference.
2.5. Brakes
Service brake:
In driving mode, the motors act as a service brake. To brake the
wheelchair slowly, move the steering and drive lever (joystick)
slowly back to the neutral position (starting position).
To brake harder, release the steering and drive lever.
Parking brake/parking:
Switch off the wheelchair using the on/off switch (see chapter 6.1).
If the drives are engaged, the power wheelchair cannot be pushed or
moved (see chapter 6.16). The parking brake function complies with the
provisions of the German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations (StVZO).
Sliding mode:
To be able to push the wheelchair, the unlocking levers must be actuated
(see chapter 6.6). If the wheelchair is switched on, the Battery status
display. You can switch off the wheelchair for pushing mode.

The braking distance is significantly longer on a
downhill gradient than on a flat road. Bear this in
mind when descending ramps and brake in good
time.
Make sure you brake your power wheelchair in
good time. Especially in front of people and when
travelling on slopes.
Emergency brake:
For an emergency stop while travelling, press the on/off switch. This
results in very heavy braking. This can lead to injuries and should
therefore only be used in the event of danger

event of danger, as this can lead to injuries.
2.6. Indications
Inability or severely impaired ability to walk due to
• paralysis
• loss of limb
• defect/deformity of limb
• joint contracture
• joint damage (not in both arms)
• other diseases
The provision of an electric wheelchair is indicated if the use of a hand-
driven wheelchair is no longer possible but the proper operation of an
electric drive is possible.
