4.1. ATTACHING/DETACHING THE CAMERA TO THE DOCKING STATION

4.2. TURNING ON THE SYSTEM
The AcuCam Concept IV
camera is properly connected to the Docking Station, then lift the handpiece from the cradle to activate
the system. A sensor in the holster will detect that the handpiece has been removed from the holster, and
the system will be activated. When activated, the light on the handpiece will power on and the video
stream from the docking station will be begin. When the handpiece is returned to the holster, the system is
deactivated, and it will go into standby mode.
CAUTION: for long periods of inactivity (i.e. one month), it is strongly recommended that users
turn off the main power supply or unplug the Power Supply Unit from the electrical outlet.

system has NO POWER SWITCH. To operate the camera, verify that the

Firmly grasp the connector so that the red dot
aligns at the upper most position with the embossed
dot on the Docking Station front panel. Gently
insert the light guide tip into center of the
receptacle in the docking station. Once the
connector housing reaches the receptacle, you may
have to slightly rotate the connector in order to
properly align it. You should hear a slight click, as
the connector is fully engaged and locked into
position.
Grasp the connector at the knurled ring and pull
away from the docking station. As the ring slides, it
will release the latches and the connector will
easily slide out of its receptacle.
