3.5.4 Synergic welding programs

The synergic welding programs (SYN) enable the user to quickly find the right
settings for their welding task.
The press buttons plus [19] and minus [20] allow the user to select the welding
program they require. The synergic welding programs automatically set all
parameters to the correct values. An overview of the welding programs is affixed
to the inside of the side door of the wire feed unit (see Chapter 3.11.1).
Note: For the TIG and electrode welding modes, no synergic welding programs
may be selected.

3.5.5 JOB

A job contains all setting values, for example, energy value, voltage, SDI
correction, procedure, operating mode, function, special parameters, etc.
The press buttons plus [19] and minus [20] allow the user to select the Job they
require. Chapter 3.12 describes in more detail how to save, select, delete and
copy a Job.
Note: The Job mode cannot be selected for TIG and electrode welding.

3.5.6 Manual

The manual mode enables the user to modify the wire feed rate and welding
voltage by hand over the entire range of values (for an overview of the synergic
welding programs, see the inside of the side door of the wire feed unit or Chapter
3.11.1).
The individual setting of the wire feed rate and the welding voltage is carried out
using the rotating buttons for energy [15] and voltage [14].
Note: The manual mode can only be selected when using the conventional
MIG/MAG welding procedure.

Digital displays

The three digital displays [5+9+21] enable a rapid and easy to view display of the
welding and special parameters, all relevant information and error messages
(see Chapter 7).

3.6.1 Digital display for energy and special parameters

3.6.1.1 Energy display

Pressing the push button [3] next to the left-hand digital display [5] allows the
user to select the display of welding current (A), the wire feed rate (m/min) or
the material thickness (mm). During the welding process, the latest welding
current value is always shown regardless of the energy type selected.
Display Ampere (A): In idle, the nominal value for the welding
current is displayed, as calculated by the programmed welding
characteristic curve. During welding, the actual welding current is
displayed. When welding is completed, the last used welding current
is displayed for approximately 7 seconds (HOLD function) and the
HOLD [7] light is lit.
