EXAMPLE OF USE FOR A 2-WING DOOR SYSTEM
9.1 Parallel connection of two control systems

With a 2-wing swing door with overlapping wings, it is
possible to drive two operators [WEL1] and [WEL2]
simultaneously, by making the connections shown
in the diagrams.
In this case, the supply voltage (230V~) is control-
led for both WELF-operators by a single additional
FIRE board.
All fire and smoke sensors (up to the max. number
allowed), the optional contact of a central fire/smoke
alarm system, the release push-button for manual
door closure and the push-button for the manual
resetting of the operator are also connected to this
additional board.
If the smoke or fire sensor or the central alarm sy-
stem triggers off an alarm or if the manual closure
push-button is activated, the additional FIRE board
will immediately cut off the voltage supply to both
the WELF operators. The operators will then close
the door wings by means of the spring type power
accumulator integrated in the operator itself.
The correct closure (overlapping) of the door wings
is achieved by means of the mechanical closure
coordinator [*].
Following an alarm, i.e. after the sensor has de-
tected an alarm, the system must be reconnected
exclusively using the manual reset function provided.
The connections to the additional FIRE board are
illustrated in the drawing on page 3.
The movement of the two doors is synchronised
as follows: the door wing [WEL1] only closes when
the door wings [WEL2] is completely closed. The
speed trimmer (VA) is given the same setting in
both motors.
The trimmer TC of the door wing [WEL1] must be set
to the minimal value. In order to enable the deterred
opening of the door wing [WEL1], an end switch
must be installed in order to release the closing
movement when the door wing [WEL2] are closed.
The end switch must be connected as shown in the
diagram.
Note: the closing limit switch [FC WEL2] for the drive
WELF is not included in the delivery.
[*] In the case of 2-wings door systems a mechanical
closure coordinator must be used in accordance
with EN1158.
