down the flow of oil.
NOTE!
When you refit the rubber filler plug (part 2),
make sure that it is firmly in place.
Ensure that the breather tube (part 8) is
refitted on the rubber filler plug (part 2). This
tube contains a filter to prevent dirt getting
into the oil. If this tube (or the filter) is missing,
there is a risk that the valve of the RMV will
become clogged with dirt. The Scottoiler will
then drip continuously as a consequence.
If there is air in the delivery tube, the Louis
Special Edition Scottoiler has been completely
drained or re-installed, it will need to be bled
thoroughly:
7.6 | Bleeding the delivery tube
In order for the Louis Special Edition Scottoiler to function
correctly, the delivery tube (part 13) must be completely
filled with oil without any air bubbles. If the delivery tube
is not properly bled, it will drain despite the valve being
connected on the RMV. Bleeding is a simple process. First
place some cardboard or an old rag under the nib of the
delivery tube to catch the oil which leaks out during the
process.

•First turn the metering knob at the top of your RMV
clockwise to m (maximum position) "PRIME".

•Remove the breather tube (part 8) from the rubber filler
plug (part 2). Important: Leave the black rubber filler plug
(part 2) on the RMV, and only disconnect the tube.
•You will need a Scottoil bottle (part 16) which is at least
partially emptied and fitted with the filling spout (part 18).
Place the Scottoil bottle (part 16) with the filling spout (part
18) on the black rubber filler plug (part 2).
•Now squeeze the oil bottle firmly but without allowing any
