Each time you press this key, the amplifier function (Input selector)
changes.
The amplifier function (input selector) automatically switches to the
music source being operated when you press the CD playback (-),
cassette tape deck playback (<I, >), or tuner station controls.
() LSS key
Each time you press this key, a listening style is recalled, changing one
after another from BGM to NIGHT to PURE.
@© DIRECT key
When selecting between CD and DAT with the FUNCTION
(Input
selector), you can use this to switch the DIRECT mode (CD DIRECT,
DAT DIRECT) ON and OFF.
(7) Deck | operation keys
Use these in the same way as the operation switches on the front panel
of the cassette deck.
Deck II operation keys
Use these in the same way as the operation switches on the
front panel of the cassette deck.
(9) TUNER STATION key
® Before operation, memorize broadcast stations in the STATION CALL
switch.
At ace Stations change in order in the upward direction.

(1) Timer operation keys
ON/OFF
: Use this to switch timer setting operation on and off.
CHECK
=: Use to check the timer settings.
SLEEP
=: Sets the sleep timer. Each time you press this key, the
setting changes as shown here. The current setting is
shown on the tuner display.
Power turns off when your set time has elapsed (see
page 30).

If you press the SLEEP key again during SLEEP operation,
the timer will operate from the new setting displayed.
SNOOZE:
Turns off power if pressed after timer playback begins.
Timer playback begins again approx. 5 minutes later.
(2) Graphic equalizer operation keys
ON/OFF:
Turns the equalizer on and off.
CALL:
Recall the preset equalization pattern (PRESET) and
memorized equalization pattern (PGM) in sequence.
ACTIVE LOUD:
This switches active loudness on and off.
NOTE:
¢ /f the remote control unit will not be used for a long time (1 month
or more}, remove the batteries to avoid battery leakage. If fluid should
ever leak from batteries, wipe away the fluid and then install new
batteries.
¢ Do not put books etc.on top of the remote control unit. If keys are
continuously depressed, the batteries will run down.
e /f the operating range decreases, the batteries have probably run
down. Please replace with new batteries.
Range of remote control
When the remote control unit is pointed at the remote sensor
window on the amplifier and any of its keys is pressed, the amplifier
and other components can be operated by remote control.
Distance: Within a range of approx. 7 meters from the remote sensor
window on the amplifier.
Angle: Within approx. 30 degrees from the center of the remote
sensor window on the amplifier.
Remote control will not be possible if there is an obstacle between
the remote control unit itself and the remote sensor window on the
amplifier.
Performance of the remote control unit is adversely affected in the
presence
of strong fluorescent
light. Keep such
lights away,
especially from the sensor window.
