| Connecting a video disc player (VDP), BS (DBS) tuner |
(VDP, CDV, BS (DBS), etc.)
e Connect the video disc player's S-output jack to the amplifier's
VDP/DBS IN jack using an S-jack connection cord.
e Connect the video disc player's video output jacks tq the
amplifier's VDP/DBS (yellow) jack using a 75-ohm
video coaxial cable pin plug cord.
e Connect the video disc player's analog audio output jacks to
the amplifier's VDP/DBS jacks using pin plug cords. NOTE:
This unit is designed for use with PAL system
components only.
Connect PAL system equipment to the VIDEO jacks.
A note on the S input jacks
e The input selectors for the S inputs and for the
pin jack inputs work in conjunction with each
other.
Precaution when using S-jacks
This amplifier's S-jacks (input and output) and
video pin jacks (input and output) have indepen-
dent circuit structures, so that video signals input
from the S-jacks are only output from the S-jack
The AVC-2530 is equipped with VIDEO AUX jacks on the
front panel for playback of video equipment. This permits
video cam-corders with playback functions as well as other
equipment to be connected.

are only output from the pin jack outputs.
When connecting the amplifier with equipment
that is equipped with S-jacks, keep the above point
in mind and make connections according to the Connecting a camcorder (V-AUX)
equipment instruction manuals.
Connections for the video input and output:
e Connect the camcorder's video output jack to the
amplifier's (yellow) V-AUX IN jack and the
video deck's video input jack to the amplifiers
(yellow) V-AUX OUT jack using 75-ohm
video coaxial cables with pin plugs.

Connecting the audio input and output jacks
Connect the camcorder's audio output jacks to the
amplifier's [AUDIO | V-AUX IN jacks and the video
deck's audio input jacks to the amplifier''s [AUDIO
V-AUX OUT jacks using pin plug cords.

Audio output

In addition to regular VDP/DBS jacks, this amplifier is
equipped with HI-VISION jacks to be used for future expan-
sion purposes.
When FUNCTION is set to VOP/DBS, switching the HI-
VISION switch on the front panel will provide output of the
signals connected to the CENTER and REAR jacks directly
from the center and rear speakers.

Connecting a monitor TV
e Connect the TV's S-video input jack to the amplifier's
MONITOR OUT jack using an S-jack con-
nection cord.
e Connect the TV's video input jack to the amplifier's
MONITOR OUT jack using a 75-ohm video
