9.7. Activating standby for remote operation
EN 60335-2-53 specifies that sauna control units with a remote start function
must be set manually to "Standby for remote operation" mode.
This activation must take place again after each remote start and stop
procedure.
With safety shut-off activated (standard)
Perform the following steps:
1. Press the temperature selector
► The remote start indicator 8 starts flashing.
► The sauna control unit is then ready to be started and stopped using a
remote start signal.
► After a remote start and stop, the remote start indicator goes out and the
mode has to be activated again.
When the door sensor is activated
1. Press the temperature selector
► In the bottom display, a countdown of 30 seconds is displayed. The door
can be opened and closed as many times as desired during this time.
After the countdown has elapsed, the door must be closed!
► The remote start indicator 8 is flashing
► The sauna control unit is now ready to be started and stopped once using
a remote start signal = "Standby for remote operation" mode
Door is opening – warning "door" appears in the display
– In "Standby for remote operation" mode:
To continue the mode, the door must be closed and the warning ac-
knowledged with a long press on the bottom knob. ► The countdown
(30 seconds) appears again in the display.
– In ongoing operation or if remote start output is enabled
(for coin-operated units or door sensor system):
Acknowledgement takes place automatically when the door is closed.
