Wann werden die Airbags ausgelöst?
Das Airbag-System ist so ausgelegt, dass der Fahrer- und
Beifahrerairbag bei einem s s c c h h w w e e r r e e n n F F r r o o n n t t a a l l a a u u f f p p r r a a l l l l ausgelöst
werden.
Bei s s c c h h w w e e r r e e n n S S e e i i t t e e n n k k o o l l l l i i s s i i o o n n e e n n werden der Seiten-Airbag
der Kopfairbag 1) an der Aufprallseite des Fahrzeugs ausgelöst.

Das Airbag-System wird bei l l e e i i c c h h t t e e n n Front- und Seitenkollisionen,
Heckkollisionen und Ü Ü b b e e r r s s c c h h l l ä ä g g e e n n n n i i c c h h t t a a u u s s g g e e l l ö ö s s t t . Bei diesen
Unfallsituationen sind die Insassen auf konventionelle Art und
Weise durch die Sicherheitsgurte geschützt.
Eine für alle Umstände gültige Aussage darüber, wann das Airbag-
System ausgelöst wird, ist nicht möglich, da eine Vielzahl von
Aufprallsituationen denkbar sind.
Beim Aufblasen des Airbags wird ein feiner Staub abgegeben. Dies
ist normal und es ist kein Brandrisiko zu befürchten.

Beim Auslösen des Airbag-Systems werden die Beutel mit Gas
aufgeblasen, und sie breiten sich vor dem Fahrer und Beifahrer aus.
Das Aufblasen des Airbags erfolgt sehr schnell in
Sekundenbruchteilen, damit bei einem Unfall ein zusätzlicher
Schutz geboten wird.
