2.6.2 Safety switch
Before proceeding with work with any operating machines of the system, check the function of the engine safety
shutdown with a switch on the left handlebar handgrip of the engine unit.
Ignition safety switch BVA-96 ensures the engine ignition switch-off and hence the engine stoppage immediately after the operator has
left its working position either in a critical situation or in shut down of the machine.
Details on Pict. 7 .
POSITION
Used when starting the engine, in adjusting engine speed or in a short-time machine standstill at which the engine
is still running. In this position, wire latch in the lower part of the safety switch latches the lever in pressed
position.
1 - START
In this position of the safety switch always change gear to neutral on the gearbox or disengage
the clutch of travel wheels, and switch off the drive of working implements!
Used in machine operation.
2 - RUN
The wire latch must be always released to enable the safety switch to fulfill its function in critical situations!
Used to switch off the engine during machine shut down or in critical situations. The engine switched off always
when the safety ignition switch lever on the left handlebar handgrip is released; taking off hand from the handgrip
3 - STOP
will do. The condition is that the wire latch is at the time alway released – see Warning in the description of
Position no. 2- RUN.

2.6.3 Starting the engine
The engine starting is described in the instruction for use of the engine.
Attention! The machine is fitted with an automatic centrifugal clutch. At speeds above the minimum the energy
will always transmit to the gearbox. Hence do not start the engine with engaged gear but keep it always in the
neutral gear "0"! On adapters with active accessory drive always turn off the drive of the working implement!
2.6.4 Adjustment of guiding handles
The handlebars of the guiding handles can be adjusted in two axes.
Never adjust the handlebar position when the machine is moving! There is a danger of loss of control over the
machine with the possibility of danger to health or property of the operator or other persons!
POSITION
ADJUSTMENT
Side
Side adjustment is used where it is undesirable for
the operator to move over the cultivated soil (e.g.
adjustment
during rototilling), or if there is not enough space
on the sides of the machine (e.g. mowing along
fences).
Pict. 8
Height
Height adjustment is intended to set correct
adjustment
height of the handlebars in relation to the height
of the operator and the type of machine used.
Pict. 9
Transport
Used in the transport of the driving unit by other
position
means of transport or during storage of the
machine to reduce demands on storage space.

When adjusting the guide handle positions make sure that the accelerator Bowden cable or the engine cut-out cable is not
pinched or stretched. They can get damaged, or it may affect the engine control setting.

DESCRIPTION
USE
Take hold of the arresting pin and by pulling it downwards
push it out of the hole in the joint.
Turn the handlebar to the side and insert the pin into the
relevant hole.
Release the tightening nut on the joint. Turn the
handlebar in the teeth of the swivel holder to desired
position.
Tighten the tightening nut.

handlebars by 180° in the direction above the engine.
Loosen the tightening nut on the joint and fold the
handlebars to be just above the engine. Tighten the
tightening nut.
