3. Release the tightening crank
clamps

upwards so that they are out of the way when attaching the driving unit.
4. Grip the driving unit with your left hand by the hand rail located on the lower part of the flange and with your right hand at the place of
the handlebars joint.
5. Attach the driving unit onto the gearbox so that the cylindrical part of the driving unit flange falls into the gearbox flange and the pin
on the guiding handles holder falls into the gearbox console opening.
6. Move the driving unit slightly from side to side until it fully settles onto the gearbox.
7. Secure the driving unit on the gearbox by means of two quick-operating spring clamps  3 . Clinch the latches on the quick-operating
clamps into the notch in the rivet
spring towards the gearbox surface.
8. Tighten the tightening crank  2 , which secures the guiding handles swivel holder pin

2.5.1.2 Procedure for removing the driving unit

Do not remove the driving unit from the gearbox while the engine is running!
Details on Pict. 5 .
1. Loosen the tightening crank
2. Disconnect the quick-operating clamps
3. Remove the latch of the quick-operating clamp from the notch in the rivet
the driving unit out of the gearbox.
4. Pull the driving unit out of the gearbox (or adapter by smooth continuous pull, applied parallel to the axis of the engine crankshaft.
Be   careful   when  connecting   and  disconnecting   the   quick-operating   clamps!   Your   fingers   can   be   injured!  The
springs have a great pull and considerable force is required for connection or disconnection.
Never put the driving unit on easily ignitable materials. The high operating temperatures could cause a fire!
Never put the driving unit on dirt, sand and similar materials that could contaminate the clutch linings or the flange connecting
surface.

2.6 Controls

2.6.1 Accelerator lever

Engagement of centrifugal clutch and the transfer of engine output depends on the engine revolutions. This is why the control of engine
with this clutch requires a different technique than the control of engine with for example multi-plate clutch:
Always use the  MAX imum engine revolutions so that clutch slippage does not occur and hence damage to the clutch.
Increase the engine revolutions fast so that the engine working speed is reached in the shortest possible time and unwished-for
clutch slippage does not occur. When the engine speed is reached fast the centrifugal clutch engages smoothly.
Particularly with using the driving unit on small one-axle tractors with one-axle trailers ensure using correct gears at full use of
the trailer load capacity, appropriate to engine load and the nature of terrain. Engage lower gears at which the engine power is
utilized better and the clutch does not suffer due to low revolutions of the engine.
When driving downhill make use of engine braking. Shift the freewheel hub control element to position LOCKING to have the
wheels in immanently engaged. Reduce the speed to about  2/3 MAX imum engine revolutions. The clutch still fully transmits
the revolutions and the motor helps braking the assembly.
In the new clutch lining some accompanying phenomena of clutch slippage in the driven clutch plate may occur – such as
"metallic" whistling, rattling etc.. The phenomena are not a reason for raising a complaint about the clutch or about the whole
machine since they disappear after the clutch lining has been run-in.
The individual positions of the lever are automatically locked in the lever body, during the trailing stage to a given position the control
lever readily snaps in.
