Safety instructions
Fire hazard
• Do not store highly flammable or explo-
sive substances near the oven to avoid
fire hazard due to increased ambient
temperature during operation.
• Alcohol vapours can catch fire in the
hot cooking chamber. Only heat small
amounts of food with a high alcohol
content. Open the appliance door care-
fully.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended
when in use!
Food can burn, cause harmful smoke
or catch fire.
Heated food containing fat, oil or alco-
hol can ignite quickly.
• Remove coarse soiling from the coo-
king chamber, heating elements and
accessories before operation.
Loose food residues, fat and gravy can
catch fire.
• Never leave flammable objects in the
cooking chamber. These may catch
fire, melt, deform or be damaged when
the cooking chamber heats up.
• Baking paper etc. can catch fire if it
comes into contact with the heating
elements.
Always make sure that it does not pro-
trude, cut it to size
if necessary and load it so that it can-
not be moved,
e.g. by the air circulation of the fan or
the draught when opening the door.

• If there is a fire or smoke in the coo-
king chamber, do not open the appli-
ance door.
Switch off the appliance and discon-
nect the mains plug or turn off the
circuit breaker in the fuse box.
Have the appliance checked by a cer-
tified electrician after it has cooled
down.
Causes of damage

• Make sure that all packaging materials
and transport locks have been remo-
ved from the appliance, especially from
the cooking chamber, before switching
on the appliance.
• Do not install the appliance in an envi-
ronment with high temperatures, near
a gas cooker or a paraffin cooker.
• Do not cover the cooking chamber
bottom with foil, baking paper or ac-
cessories and do not place dishes on
the cooking chamber bottom when a
temperature of over
50 ºC is set. This will cause heat to
build up and damage
the enamel.
• Make sure that aluminium foil in the
cooking chamber does not come into
contact with the door glass. This can
lead to permanent discolouration of
the door glass.
• Do not use silicone moulds, mats, co-
vers or accessories that contain silico-
ne. This may damage the oven sensor.
