Inserting the tensioning rope after the fabric has been changed

Inserting the tensioning rope on untensioned
units with two springs
1. On the right-hand side of the unit: Push
the tensioning rope (5) onto the D39 pulley
block (4) of the end cap (1) from above.
2. Attach the end cap (1) to the front side of the
side channel (3).
3. Screw in place with an M6 flange screw
without ratchet (2) using a WS 10 open-end
spanner.
4. Guide the tensioning rope (5) along to the
D33 pulley block (6) in the carriage (7) and
into the projection profile (8).
5. Guide the tensioning rope onwards from the
D33 pulley block of the preloading tail over
the rope block on the spring.
6. On the left-hand side of the unit: Lay the
tensioning rope as described for the right-
hand side.
7. Connect the two ends of the rope with the
rope clamp provided (push the braided
sleeving to one end of the rope), pull taut
and screw loosely in place with a WS 4 allen
key. The rope clamp must be in the centre of
the projection profile at the marker point.
8. To fasten the side channels to the roof
support.
9. To tension the springs, loops are formed
with the tensioning ropes and attached to
the M6 hexagon socket head cap screws in
the projection profile.
10. The tensioning positions to which the
springs are pre-tensioned are indicated with
marker points in the projection profile and
information regarding tensioning is provided
on the sticker in the projection profile cover.
11. If the pre-tensioning of the springs does not
correspond to the marker points in the
projection profile, the loops in the tensioning
rope must be moved and the tensioning
process repeated.
12. Detach and undo the loops.
