Changing the fabric when the cassette is not dismantled
Mark the location of the fabric on the roller tube before unwinding it.
The fabric is attached to the roller tube (depending on the production date) using claw or
magnetic claw piping and fixed to the sides with double-sided adhesive tape. If claw
piping is installed in the system, it is recommended that the cassette is disassembled.
1. Unscrew the 6x50 chipboard screw from the
fabric rail in the projection profile on both
sides and remove the fabric dowel with it.
2. Push the cord edge outwards slightly and
then remove it completely.
3. The fabric can now be removed from the
projection profile.
4. Connect the test run cable and press the
extend button until the fabric is completely
unwound and the roller rube with beading and
fabric rail are visible.
5. Remove the fabric from the adhesive areas
carefully and take it out of the front of the
cassette.
6. Remove the remains of the double-sided
adhesive tape.
Be careful not to damage the seams when winding the new fabric!
Replacement fabrics can be supplied on request wound on fabric cores in the fabric's
dropping direction to avoid kinks during transport. These fabrics have to be unwound
first and then wound up again to the system width before assembly. The old fabric can
be used as a base for the new fabric to avoid possible soiling.
It is recommended that two devices are placed in front of the system (ladders, assembly
lifts – or trestles or the like) to lay the new fabric on them. Cover the devices with clean
film to avoid damage or soiling. The new fabric can be rolled up better when winding it
onto the roller tube and is also supported on both sides. This makes it easier to attach
the claw or magnetic claw piping.
