General operation with ceiling supply units
Malfunctions may occur if the operation of Atlan in combination with ceiling supply
facilities has not been proved to be secure. Personal injury and property damage
may occur as a consequence.
► Dräger will provide the manufacturer of the ceiling supply unit with the document
"Atlan anesthesia workstation - ceiling-mounted version - interface description
for ceiling supply units". This document describes the structural specifications
necessary to ensure that the device cannot fall off during docking and
undocking, or while in operation.
► The instructions in this document must be followed during construction.

4.1
Safety instructions
Docking, undocking, and moving the device
Incorrect docking or undocking can result in the device falling down. If the
instructions on tipping stability are not observed or the unit is moved on the service
cart, the device may tip.
The responsible personnel must be trained and appropriately instructed in handling
the device. Otherwise there is a risk of personal injury or property damage.
► The device may only be docked, undocked, and moved by appropriately trained
personnel.
In the event of unintentional contact between the device and the kit, the kit may
become displaced or detached.
► Check the position and the attached parts of the kit.
Unintentional movement of the ceiling supply unit or the service cart
Unintentional movement of the ceiling supply unit or incorrect handling of the ceiling
supply unit and the service cart may trap persons or objects and, in the case of
persons, cause crushing injuries. Personal injury or property damage may result as
a consequence.
► Take particular care when moving a device which is coupled to the ceiling supply
unit.
