Description
The Codman® Electrosurgical Irrigator Bracket (Bracket) and Codman® Electrosurgical Irrigator Bracket and Pole
Clamp (Pole Clamp) are designed to be used with the Codman® Electrosurgical Irrigator (Irrigator) when mounting
it to the Codman Floor Stand (REF 80-1559) or IV pole .
Indications for Use/Intended Purpose
The Codman® Electrosurgical Irrigator Bracket and Pole Clamp are indicated for use with the Codman®
Electrosurgical Irrigator .
Instructions for Use
Set Up the Bracket
The Irrigator can be used as a freestanding device by placing it on an appropriate surface, such as the top of an
electrosurgical generator . To give the Irrigator additional stability, it may be affixed to the Floor Stand .
The Bracket must first be connected to the Irrigator by following these steps:
NOTE:
To avoid unintentional irrigation, ensure that the Irrigator is unplugged during set-up .
1. Place the Irrigator face up with the back side on a flat surface, so the bottom of the Irrigator is visible
(see Figure 1) .
2. Locate the two threaded, recessed Bracket holes on the bottom of the Irrigator (see Figure 1) .
3. Place the Bracket on its side (see Figure 2) .
4. Next, move the Bracket to the bottom of the Irrigator so that the side of it aligns with the side of the Irrigator
(see Figure 2) .
5. Align the two screws with the two recessed holes of the Irrigator and tighten the screws into the holes until
secure (see Figure 2) .
6. Stand the Irrigator upright (see Figure 3) .
