8 Applying seal to the basic unit flange

1 Clean the basic unit flange.
2 Apply seal to the flange of the basic unit according to
the manufacturer's instructions.
The installation instructions for the membrane or
from the PMBC manufacturer must be observed.

9 Installing the sleeve caps

1 The sleeve caps are fitted at the pipe end of the Ha-
teflex14078 MRD spiral hoses or at the end of the ex-
tended pipe systems. The information in the attached
assembly instructions "PolySafe sealing elements and
sleeve caps" applies.
All sleeve caps are fitted before the cables/pipes
are installed, even if not all sleeve caps are to be
used.

Areas of application: 1x Ø 24 - 52 mm
1 Sleeve cap
2 Ring clip
3 Segment ring
4 Blind plug
1 For the application range 24-28 mm, the blind plug is
removed from the front of the sleeve caps.
For all other application ranges, the segment sections
of the universal sleeve caps are penetrated and remo-
ved using a Phillips screwdriver (see table 1).
