5.2. Fault: Pressure display (20) lights red. Drive unit does not start on actuating the safety switch.
Cause:
● Pressure less than specifi ed (underpressure). "Sad smiley" appears in the
OLED display.
● Pressure greater than specifi ed (overpressure). "Sad smiley" appears in the
OLED display.
● Error message appears in OLED display
5.3. Fault: Radial press does not fi nish the pressing, pressing tongs, pressing ring, pressing segment do not close fully, cable shears do not cut through completely.
Cause:
● Battery fl at or defective
● Defective drive unit
● Wrong pressing tongs, wrong pressing ring (pressing contour, size) or
wrong adapter tongs, wrong cropping inserts inserted
● Pressing tongs, pressing ring, adapter tongs sluggish or defective
● The LED of the pressure display (20) lights red and the sad smiley is shown
in the OLED display, see "3.1.3. Monitoring during Pressing and Making a
Voice Recording".
● The strength class of the threaded bar is > 4.8 (400 N/mm
(ROLLER'S cropping tongs M).
● Cropping inserts of the ROLLER'S cropping tongs or cable cutters of the
ROLLER'S cable shears are blunt.
● Wrong Klauke pressing inserts inserted in the ROLLER'S Basic E01
pressing tongs.
5.4. Fault: A prominent burr is produced on the compression sleeve when closing the pressing tongs, pressing ring or pressing segments.
Cause:
● Damaged or worn pressing tongs, pressing ring, pressing segments or
pressing contour
● Wrong pressing tongs, wrong pressing ring (pressing contour, size) or
wrong adapter tongs inserted
● Unsuitable matching of compression sleeve, pipe and support sleeve
5.5. Fault: Pressing jaws close without load on the pressing tongs offset at "A" and "B" (Fig. 1).
Cause:
● Pressing tongs fall to the fl oor, compression spring bent.

● Cropping inserts of ROLLER'S cropping tongs are blunt or broken out.

● Hotspot deactivated due to inactivity of drive unit
Remedy:
● Press right button (22) to confi rm the error message. The press fi tting made
could be useless. It is recommended to have the drive unit inspected/repaired
by an authorised ROLLER customer service workshop.
● Press right button (22) to confi rm the error message. Hold the reset key (12)
until the pressing rollers have fully retracted. The press fi tting made could be
useless. Have the drive unit inspected/repaired by an authorised ROLLER
customer service workshop.

● Charge battery with rapid charger or change battery.
● Have the drive unit inspected/repaired by an authorised ROLLER customer
service workshop.

● Do not continue using the pressing tongs, pressing ring, adapter tongs! Clean
and lightly grease the pressing tongs, pressing ring and adapter tongs with
machine oil or replace them with new ones.
● Have the drive unit inspected/repaired by an authorised ROLLER customer
service workshop. Repress the press fi tting if necessary or replace with a new
press fi tting. Observe the installation instructions of the press fi tting system.
