8 Electrical connection
Please use only high-insulation connection cables that generate little triboelec­
tricity. The HBM connection cables meet this condition (see section "Scope of
supply and accessories")
You can connect CFT+ series sensors in parallel. The CSB summing box is
available for this purpose. Assign the same sensitivity to all sensors connected
in parallel so that the overall sensitivity is the same as the sensitivity of each
individual sensor.
Please be aware that measurements with piezoelectric sensors require very
high insulation resistances. Consideration reduces insulation resistances con­
siderably and therefore results in stronger drift. Because of this, do not touch
plugs or sockets and screw on the protective cap when the sensor is not con­
nected.
