Intended use
The electrical pressure transducer is a pressure-bearing piece of equipment
and must be used exclusively for pressure measurement and control work
directly related to this. Use for any purpose other than the above is deemed
improper use.
In the interests of safety, the device may only be operated as described in the
operating manual. During use, compliance with the legal and safety require­
ments for the relevant application is also essential. The same applies to the
use of accessories.
Make sure that the pressure you are measuring does not exceed the stated
burst pressure. Otherwise, the transducer may burst.
Take great care not to damage the measuring diaphragm of the transducer
with a solid object. This can damage the transducer. Do not insert sharp
objects in the measurement aperture.
Take care not to exceed the permitted tightening torque. This can damage the
transducer.
Every pressure-bearing system is an energy store, particularly when the
pressure-transmitting medium is compressible. This is especially the case the
more it is compressed, and even more so if the pressure medium has a high
compressed volume.
If the measurement medium is released unexpectedly and forces are released
from the stored energy, this could pollute the environment, destroy equipment
or cause personal injury. Therefore, install a suitable housing around the
transducer to protect the environment from escaping measurement medium.
If a fine stream of hydrocarbon escapes and atomizes in the environment, this
could lead to an explosion, even with media such as hydraulic oil, which are
usually quite harmless.
The device, with its low product of pressure and volume, "PS [bar]*V[l]",
complies with the basic safety requirements as per Annex I of the Pressure
Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU and conforms to recognized engineering
regulations.
