5 Structure and mode of operation
Transducers work on the strain gage principle.
The measuring diaphragm inside the transducer supports the strain gages,
which are connected to a Wheatstone bridge.
The strain gage is situated on the side of the diaphragm facing away from the
measurement medium. This protects it from the medium.
The transducer housing is made of stainless steel and seals the measurement
system against any harmful external influences, so that the reliability and
precision of the transducer are not impaired even in rough operating
conditions.
The parts of the transducer that are in contact with the medium are made of
stainless steel 1.4542 (SUS630).
