Electrical connection

The pressure transducer can be connected to all common amplifiers for full
bridge strain gages.
The pressure transducer is equipped with a flexible connecting cable with free
ends.

When connecting the transducer to an amplifier with a 6-wire configuration,
connect the sense leads of the amplifier to the bridge excitation voltage cables.
The cable shield is connected to the transducer housing (see HBM "Greenline
shielding design"; www.hbm.com).

Changing the cable length

When the transducer is connected in a 4-wire configuration, the cable
resistance is not compensated. Changing the cable length changes the cable
resistance. This change can normally be compensated by calibration. A
temperature-dependent change remains, however.
